This is a collection of short stories about a Shannon County, Missouri hill woman and the many lives she touched during the Great Depression and the wars that followed as seen through the eyes of her young grandson, Jerry, who loved her dearly.

About the author:  Jerry Presley was born in December 1930 in St. Louis, Missouri.  At the age of six months, he went to live with his grandmother, Della Jones, on the family farm near Low Wassie, Missouri.  It was there that Jerry learned about nature, hard work, family, and friendships.
