Action Alert: Tag CFM in Your Photos on Social Media

A new Member’s Memories page in Missouri Wildlife features photos from social media sites.

As CFM expands our social media presence, we are giving members the opportunity for a more interactive role. We are now printing a “Member’s Memories” page in each issue of Missouri Wildlife. You can see the first example of this page in the most recent issue of the magazine here (LINK). This page features photos posted by CFM members on social media like Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.

Social media has become increasingly popular in recent years. It is an avenue for CFM to reach members with news and information. However, that goes both ways. Sites like Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter are a new means of communication for CFM members to reach other members and the CFM staff. Tag us in your Instagram photos of your hunt this weekend. Show us the wild game meal you fixed. Tweet us questions about how to get involved with programs, like Share the Harvest.  Post an article you found interesting to our Facebook page.

How-to Guide: (Click the icon to go to the social media page)

Facebook:
To post on our Facebook page, search for the Conservation Federation of Missouri in the search bar at the top of the page. Once on the page, click “post” which is under the cover photo. From there, you can post a link to an article, upload a photo, or type a question you may have. To tag us in your status update, you may also simply start to type @Conservation Federation of Missouri in your status and our name will come up in a list of options. If you select our name, we will be tagged in your status.
Twitter:
To tweet at CFM, you simply need to type ‘@confedmo’ anywhere within your tweet.
Instagram:

To tag CFM in your Instagram photo, you have two options. You can type ‘@confedmo’ in your photo caption. There is also the option to “tag people.” This is right below the box you write your caption in. When you click “tag people,” you will be able to click on the photo and then type ‘confedmo’ to search for our name. Once you click done, we are then tagged and it will show up in the tagged section of our Instagram profile.

CFM will be notified of your post, tweet, or tag when you use any of these methods. These are all great ways to get more involved with CFM, share your photos and stories or ask questions.

If you have any questions about how to tag CFM on social media, please contact Emma Kessinger at ekessinger@confedmo.org or call 573-634-2322.
