Exciting Schedule Released for Explore the Outdoors: St. Louis
September 29, 2015
The Conservation Federation of Missouri (CFM) announced the seminar schedule for its upcoming regional event. Explore the Outdoors: St. Louis is October 24 and will kick off at Powder Valley Conservation Nature Center in Kirkwood.
The event begins at 11 a.m. with educational seminars and activities. Seminars will run throughout the day covering various topics specific to outdoor opportunities in the St. Louis area. Topics include outdoor photography, hiking, birding, hunting, fishing and more. We have turkey legend Ray Eye conducting one of his famous seminars. Bring the whole family to learn how to take advantage of the outdoor activities the St. Louis area has to offer.
An evening banquet at The Lodge at Des Peres follows the seminars. The banquet includes dinner, silent and live auctions, speakers and live music. The highlight of the event will be a panel discussion featuring conservation professionals from around the country. Panelists are Dr. Peter Raven from the Missouri Botanical Garden, Andy Buchsbaum from the National Wildlife Federation and Brandon Butler of the Conservation Federation of Missouri. They will discuss conservation topics relevant today from a world, national and state view.
“Explore the Outdoors: St. Louis is an opportunity for families and individuals to find out about outdoor opportunities right in their own backyards. It’s also a chance to connect with a diverse group of individuals who all have a common interest of enjoying the outdoors,” said Rehan Nana, Deputy Director of CFM.
Sponsorship opportunities are available for interested businesses and are featured on the website. Please contact Rehan Nana at RNana@confedmo.org or (573) 634-2322 with any questions or interview opportunities. Click here for the event flyer.
